Reliant Foundation is a Massachusetts nonprofit organization that raises funds to make community grants focused on children's and adolescent mental health and behavioral health, as well as helping individuals reach recovery from substance use disorder.
I'm proud to be the President of Reliant Foundation, and I get up each day asking how I can make a difference for the sake of others who are struggling with these common, but very serious issues. There is a lot of stigma around mental health and substance use, and yet it effects our friends, neighbors, family members and ourselves.
This issue is personal to me, and I bet it's personal for you or someone close to you as well. I am running this 5K race to raise funds that will make a difference in the lives of thousands of young people in our community with the goal of better supporting them. Let's shine a light on the normalcy of not always feeling "normal". Let's talk openly with one another about these challenges and do more to help one another. Donations of any amount are appreciated.
